BOURNEMOUTH DAILY ECHO 2011
Fame the Musical’s show case of the trials and pitfalls of forging a career in the arts becomes even more pointedly poignant when performed by youngsters trying to do just that. Director Tina Smith’s Swish of the Curtain production of Fame cuts a professional edge with some very talented Rising stars
18 Year old Tilly Ingle shines as love struck Serina Katz and with a stunning voice as clear as a bell and well-rounded acting skills. Is certainly one name to look out for. Jennifer Trapp gives a wonderful, endearing, funny performance as Mabel Washington, While Alexandra Burns, not long since a member of this group, presents a powerful performance as the steadfast and dedicated Miss Sherman, giving an inspiring rendition of “These are My Children”. The entire Cast performed their choreography with stylish sass, and music, costumes, sets and lighting mixed well displaying disciplined attention to detail. Altogether a very enjoyable evening’s entertainment and a fine showcase of local talent.
